East West QL Symphonic Orchestra and Choirs. Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit - Intel Ghz - 24GB RAM - NVidia Quadro 5000 with 6143 graphics memory - 3 TB hard disks (of which 2 TB SSD), Sibelius 7.1.3, Vienna Symphonic Library Special Edition plus full percussion library.

Mine is set to EW Guiro one line and I get all the sounds using the different articulations. This has 7 different sounds, and it should be possible to define these in Edit instruments as I've shown above. Re Guiro I'm not talking about the soundset per se, I'm talking about the Guiro RR that you can find in Play. It includes, and is therefore 'powered by', Play, which functions as a VST Plugin, an Audio Units Plugin, a VST 3 Plugin, an AAX Plugin and a Standalone Application. Jonathan said that to use the new one I'd have to redefine everything again including all my VSL percussion so I decided that life is simply too short. Symphonic Orchestra Silver by EastWest is a Virtual Instrument Audio Plugin and a Standalone Application for macOS and Windows. I tried the soundset update and it was a complete disaster as everything sounded the same from top to bottom of the score, and as I am happy with the old one I'm still using it. Are you using the April updated Soundset? To the untrained eye, all violins look alike.

After all, it can turn out to be a very expensive investment. No Derek, I don't appear to have that Guiro (see attached). Buying a violin is not a decision that should be taken lightly.
